Many national institutions and foundations battling coronavirus had their data breached and posted online.

Unidentified actors have posted online 25 thousands e-mail addresses and passwords that allegedly belong to the National Institutes of Health, the Gates Foundation (Bill Gates), World Health Organisation and many others who have been constantly battling the spread of coronavirus. This was discovered by SITE Intelligence Group who tracks terrorist groups and global extremism.

The data was posted and kept online on Sunday and Monday and many cybercriminals tried to use it to their advantage.

As of now the data is still not verified but almost 3 thousands e-mail addresses and passwords that allegedly belong to WHO are authentic.

National Institutes of Health had almost 10 thousands emails and passwords in this breach, next was the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with almost 7 thousands and then the World Bank with more than 5 thousands.

Unfortunately, these records are being used by extremist groups to harass these institutions and spread conspiracy theories about coronavirus.
